Digital Catapult is a not for profit, research company limited by guarantee and registered in England and Wales under company number 07964699 (“Digital Catapult”).
These Terms of Use (“Terms of Use”), together with any documents referred to below, govern the way in which you may use our Platform, which is accessible at - https://hub.digitalsupplychainhub.uk and any related domains, including associated events and event platforms or software used to host Digital Catapult events and/or joint partnership project platform or the-like online platform (the “Platform”), whether as a visitor to the Platform or as a registered user. Please read through these Terms of Use carefully before you start to use the Platform as they form a legally binding contract between you and us relating to your use of the Platform. By using the Platform, you accept these Terms of Use and agree to be bound by them. If you do not accept these Terms of Use, please refrain from using the Platform.
Digital Catapult may, at our sole discretion and at any time, make changes to these Terms of Use. If we do this, we will either post the changes on this page or, we may communicate via a pop-up on the Platform, or, send an email to registered users notifying them of any changes. We will indicate the effective date of any change to the Terms of Use at the top of the page. You should, however, check this page on a regular basis to take notice of any changes.
If you find any change to these Terms of Use unacceptable, you should stop using the Platform immediately. If you continue to use the Platform following a new set of terms being posted on the Platform, you will be deemed to have accepted such new Terms of Use and will be legally bound by them.
The Platform may be accessed through the internet via a computer, mobile phone, tablet or other suitable computing device. Digital Catapult reserves the right to, at our sole discretion, withdraw or vary the services we provide on the Platform without any prior notice.
We are constantly seeking to improve and develop the Platform and from time to time, Digital Catapult may restrict access to some parts of the Platform, or the entire Platform. You accept Digital Catapult will not be liable if, for any reason, the Platform is unavailable at any time or for any period.
The Platform is not for use by anyone under the age of 16 (“Minimum Age”). By registering as a user on, or otherwise accessing, the Platform, you represent and warrant that you are at least the Minimum Age and that you have the capacity to understand, agree to be bound by and comply with these Terms of Use. In addition, if the law requires that you must be older than the Minimum Age to lawfully register as a user or otherwise access the Platform without parental consent (including using of your personal data) then the Minimum Age is such an older age.
You are responsible for making all arrangements necessary for you to have access to the Platform including any charges associated with such access. Digital Catapult shall not be held responsible for any reduced functionality, resulting from or in connection with, your accessing the Platform through the internet. By accessing or agreeing to receive messages or notifications from the Platform through your mobile phone or any other mobile media device you may incur charges from your wireless or mobile service provider. Digital Catapult shall not under any circumstances be liable for such charges.
The Platform is maintained, controlled and operated by Digital Catapult, and/or by third party/parties on our behalf, from the United Kingdom and we make no representation that any of the Platform’s content is appropriate or available for use in other territories. If you access the Platform from outside the United Kingdom, you accept that you are responsible for compliance with all applicable local laws and regulations.
As a non-registered user, you will only have access to certain parts of the Platform. You will not have a profile page or the ability to upload material, create a business profile, connect with or message other users, or be entitled to other benefits of a registered user. You must register as a user if you want to take advantage of these services.
By registering as a user of the Platform you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and the Platform’s privacy policy. You will be required to provide information about yourself when you register. This information must be true, accurate and complete for you to become a registered user. As part of the registration process, you will be asked to select a username and password. You are solely responsible for all acts or omissions that occur under your registered account, including the content of any Material (as defined below) uploaded or submitted on the Platform. For this reason, you should make sure that you choose a strong password, keep your password secure and not disclose your username or password to anyone or permit anyone else to use your username or password. You shall not be permitted to share an account with another individual, and only one account per person shall be permitted.
Digital Catapult shall not be held liable for any harm or damage caused or related to the theft, misappropriation of, disclosure of, or authorisation of the use of your username or password. You agree to immediately notify Digital Catapult if you become aware of, or suspect that, the security of your account has been compromised.
We may refuse to grant you a username that has already been selected by another user, impersonates someone else, is or may be protected by trademark or other intellectual property law, or is deemed offensive or otherwise inappropriate by Digital Catapult, at its sole discretion.
Digital Catapult may, at its sole discretion, deactivate any user account or user names that have been inactive for more than 180 days.
Any material, including the Material, available on this Platform is designed to provide general information only, to be known as the Digital Supply Chain Hub.
We strive to ensure all information on our Platform is accurate and up to date. However, the contents of the Platform are naturally subject to change so we cannot always guarantee the accuracy of all information on the Platform. You are responsible for checking the accuracy of relevant facts and opinions given on the Platform before entering into any commitment based upon them. The information provided on this Platform does not constitute legal or other professional advice.
For the avoidance of doubt, any Commentary, articles and Material (“Commentary”) posted on the Platform is not intended to amount to advice on which reliance should be placed. The Digital Catapult entities and individuals are not responsible for any damage to any user’s computer hardware, computer software, or other equipment or technology including, but without limitation damage from any security breach or from any virus, bugs, tampering fraud, error, omission, interruption, defect, delay in operation or transmission, computer line or network failure or any other technical or other malfunction.
As a user you accept that the Platform will not be uninterrupted or error free, that defects may not be corrected or that the Platform or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or bugs.
We expressly disclaim any and all responsibility and liability for the conduct of any other user (whether registered or visitor) of the Platform, and expressly disclaim any liability for Materials submitted or uploaded by other users.
As a registered user, we may now or in the future provide you with the ability to upload or submit material, including, without limitation, text, photographs, graphics, video or audio material and any underlying material (“Material”) to the Platform. Whenever you make use of a feature that allows you to upload Material to the Platform, or make contact with other users of the Platform, you must comply with all of these Terms of Use, including the “Do’s” and “Don’t’s” set out below.
By uploading or submitting any Material to any area of the Platform and in consideration of our providing you with the opportunity to upload or submit Material to the Platform (which you acknowledge as a sufficient benefit to you), you have the right to irrevocably and unconditionally grant Digital Catapult a non-exclusive, irrevocable, unrestricted, worldwide, royalty-free licence (including the right to sub-license) of the entire right, title and interest in and to the Material so that Digital Catapult and any successor may, subject to these Terms of Use, use the Material in any way, including (without limitation) the right to copy, edit, adapt, reformat, translate, create derivative works from, incorporate into other works, distribute, perform, play, broadcast, commercialise and otherwise make available to the public the Material (whether in whole or in part, or copies of the same) in any format or medium currently known or developed in the future, for the full period during which such rights subsist (including all renewals, revivals, reversions and extensions of the same) and thereafter to the fullest extent possible in perpetuity.
You agree to waive any moral rights (or any similar rights in any jurisdiction) you may have in and to any of your Material, even if it is modified, altered or changed in a manner which is not agreeable to you.
You warrant that:
any Material you submit or upload to the Platform complies with the applicable requirements set out in these Terms of Use; and
the Material is your own original work and you own the entire right, title and interest in and to the Material and/or you have all necessary licences, rights, consents and permissions to use, and to authorise us to use, any and all intellectual property rights in such Material to enable us to use the Material in the manner contemplated by these Terms of Use.
When you upload Material to the Platform it may be publicly available which means that both non-registered and registered users can view your Material. Digital Catapult shall be free to position your Material anywhere on the Platform, as we choose in our sole discretion. Non-registered users may be able to see headers of business and individual profiles of registered users.
Digital Catapult does not exercise any editorial control over Material submitted on your profile and as such, we do not have any obligation to check the accuracy, truthfulness or fitness for any particular purpose of the Materials, nor to monitor any users’ use of the Platform.
We have the right at all times, but not the obligation, at our sole discretion, to remove any Material that you submit or upload to the Platform.
You acknowledge and agree that by accessing the Platform you may be exposed to Material which you find, vulgar, offensive, or otherwise objectionable.

The connections and messaging functions on the Platform are to be used for the purpose of communication relevant to the purpose of the Platform and must comply at all times with these Terms of Use. This applies to all content included in messages exchanged on the Platform.
For the avoidance of doubt, users on Platform have the right to disconnect with other users and discontinue communication with them.
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that your use of this Platform will be free from error and/or uninterrupted. We take no responsibility or liability, so far as legally possible, for any damages including, but not limited to: indirect or consequential damages; damages for loss of opportunity or chance; any damages arising from use or loss of use, data, or profits, whether in action of contract, negligence or other tortious action, arising out of, or in connection with, any information on the Platform or any other related Platforms or the use thereof.
You agree to fully and effectively indemnify Digital Catapult and any of its officers, directors, employees, agents, subsidiaries, affiliates, representatives, licensors, suppliers and operational service providers from and against any and all third party claims, actions, proceedings, demands, damages (actual and/or consequential), losses, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable solicitor’s fees) suffered or reasonably incurred by us as a result of, or in connection with, your access to and use of the Platform or conduct other than in accordance with these Terms of Use or any applicable law or regulation (“Third Party Claim”).
You will cooperate fully and reasonably as required by Digital Catapult in the defence of any claim. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Digital Catapult retains the exclusive right to settle, compromise and pay any and all claims, demands, proceedings, suits, actions or causes of action which are brought against Digital Catapult under these Terms of Use and in no event shall you settle any such action without Digital Catapult’s prior written approval.
Digital Catapult may hold events (“Events”) on platforms (including but not limited to Zoom) promoted on the Platform and linking to different parts of it and/or other training or networking events. In this case the Platform Terms of Use apply to participants in these events.
Digital Catapult may (at its sole discretion) suspend or cancel Events and/or change the dates of Events for any reason.
We have done our best to ensure this Platform is free from viruses. However, we cannot always guarantee this. You are responsible for installing adequate and up-to-date virus-checking software on your computer.
We take no responsibility or liability, so far as legally possible, for any viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, restrict, destroy, limit the functionality of or compromise the integrity of any computer software or hardware; or telecommunications equipment or other material which may be transmitted with or as part of the Platform.
The Platform may contain links to other Platforms, resources and purchase opportunities provided by third parties. These Platforms may contain Materials which you may find objectionable, unlawful or inaccurate. For the avoidance of doubt, these links are provided for your information only. If you access these links you may be directed to third party Platforms. These third party Platforms will have their own terms of use and privacy policies which may differ from Digital Catapult’s Terms of Use and privacy policy. This display of a link to third party Platforms does not constitute an endorsement by Digital Catapult’s of any of the third party Platforms, resources, content information or resources provided.

Links to the Platform do not imply that Digital Catapult endorses, is affiliated with, or is associated with any linked Platform or that any linked Platform is authorised to use any of our trade marks, trade names, brands, logos or copyright symbols or those of any of our affiliates or licensors.
You must not frame any portion or pages of the Platform on any other Platform. We reserve the right to withdraw linking permission without notice. The Platform from which you are linking must comply in all respects with the applicable requirements set out in these Terms of Use.
We process information about you in accordance with our Digital Supply Chain Hub Privacy Policy. You must read the terms of our Privacy Policy before using the Platform. By using the Platform, you warrant that all data provided by you is accurate.
Our Privacy Policy covers the services provided by the Digital Catapult Platform.
This Platform shall have two Data Co-Controllers (Digital Catapult and any third party supplier assisting Digital Catapult with the creation, delivery and functioning of the Platform) in which case Digital Catapult and such third party supplier shall each, severally, not jointly, be the Data Controller for the users on the developed Platform [the Platform], and shall each own the data relating thereto. Log files allow us to record visitors’ use of the Platform. Digital Catapult puts together log file information from all our visitors, which we may use to make improvements to the layout of the Platform and to the information in it, based on the way that visitors move around it. Digital Catapult is the owner or the authorised licensee of all intellectual property rights in our Platform, and in the material published on it. Those works are protected by copyright and trademark laws and treaties around the world.

If, for any reason, any of these Terms of Use are determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable by a court of a competent jurisdiction, then to the extent that term is illegal, invalid or unenforceable, it shall be severed and deleted from these Terms of Use and all of the remaining Terms of Use shall survive, remain in full force and effect and continue to be binding and enforceable.
No failure or delay by us in exercising any right, power or privilege under these Terms of Use shall operate as or constitute a waiver of such right or acceptance of any variation of these Terms of Use and nor shall any single or partial exercise by either party of any right, power or privilege preclude any further exercise of that right or the exercise of any other right, power or privilege.

These Terms of Use are governed by English law and the English courts will have exclusive jurisdiction over any claim arising from, or related to these Terms of Use and/or a visit to the Platform.
